Nøsen Hundreds 50km

About the course

50 km

The Nøsen Hundreds 50 km is the younger brother of the full 100 km, but it is by no means a walk in the park. The 50 km has more altitude per km, an exclusive mountain traverse and a total of 1900 vertical meters!

The first part takes you through a mix of gravel road and flowy trails. Enjoy the beautiful view at Strø and get ready to climb! In just 3.2 km you’ll climb 550 vertical meters to reach Nøsakampen. Here starts the routes main challenge; the 5 km Gilafjellet traverse. When you reach the north peak; Kruk, you’ll start descending and meeting 100 km runners going the opposite way, remember to give them some cheers and high fives!

Syndinstøga at 27 km will be the routes checkpoint. Here you’ll get access to your dropbag, food, drink and sanitary facilities. The last half is less challenging, but remember to save energy for the 8 km trail traversing Grønsenknippa. From here you can soon look down to the finish at Nøsen!
